LAWIN assisted Coca-Cola in land purchase transaction for new plant in Latvia

The LAWIN Riga Office has accomplished the legal work in relation to a large-scale purchase of land for the construction of a new Coca-Cola production plant in the outskirts of Riga, Latvia.  The value of the land purchase transactions amounted to EUR 3.2 million and the estimated construction costs of the plant are EUR 70 million. The land purchase agreements were concluded in 2009 and following the fulfillment of various preconditions during 2010, the land purchase was finalized in November 2010. Title to the purchased land has been registered  with the Land Register of the Republic of Latvia in the name of  Coca-Cola.

The LAWIN Riga office was involved in preparation of the purchase and related documentation and advised Coca-Cola on all legal aspects of this transaction.
