LAWIN Riga advises on aircraft finance transaction

LAWIN Riga advised the financing parties in one of the largest aircraft lease & finance transactions in the history of Latvian aviation. The transaction involved the purchase and lease-back by Nordic Aviation Capital A/S (NAC) of three Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft to Air Baltic Corporation A/S, as well as the purchase by NAC of five additional Q400 aircraft directly from Bombardier and lease of the same to Air Baltic. While the deal value is confidential, the value of the eight aircraft at list prices is USD 212 million. LAWIN Riga advised the financing parties on securing the transaction financing facilities under Latvian law, and served as transaction counsel on all aspects of Latvian aviation and general law.
