LAWIN team successfully protected Švyturys-Utenos Alus UAB from strike

On August 5, Klaipėda District Court passed the judgement that a strike announced by the employees of the production division of the major Lithuanian brewery Švyturys-Utenos Alus UAB was illegal. After a long and intensive marathon of court sessions, twice imposed interim measures (once on the eve of the strike), LAWIN lawyers succeeded in protecting the interests of Švyturys-Utenos Alus UAB  and saved the company from the strike during the most intensive beer production season. Potential costs of the strike were estimated by the company at about LTL 1 million per day. Interim measures were imposed to prevent the strike and now the court by its effective judgement has declared that the strike was unlawful.
