Advised the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and a number of governmental controlled companies on reorganization of Lithuania electricity sector

Advising Lithuanian Government and number of governmental controlled companies on reorganization of the Lithuanian electricity sector, namely: (i) the merger of public company Rytu skirstomieji tinklai and public company VST which are listed on the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius; as a result of the implementation of the EU third energy market liberalisation package and the electricity market restructuring plan, these two major Lithuanian electricity distribution companies are going to be merged into one new public company; and (ii) the spin-off of public company Lietuvos energija which is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius; as a result of the implementation of the EU third energy market liberalisation package and the electricity market restructuring plan, electricity transmission activities (assets, rights, obligations and employees) of the public company Lietuvos energija is to be separated and transferred to the new public company listed on the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius in Lithuania.
