LAWIN presents a Bachelor-level M&A course to the Riga Graduate School of Law students
This year, the LAWIN Riga office is expanding its long-term cooperation with the Riga Graduate School of Law by presenting a course on Mergers & Acquisitions to students in the Bachelor program.
This course of study will consist of 15 lectures over 6 weeks, covering the major aspects of M&A practice, including the structuring of transactions, financial aspects, competition and other regulatory issues, as well as a review of various types of contracts used in M&A transactions. Several lawyers from the Riga office – Raimonds Slaidins, Liga Merwin, Zinta Jansons; Maris Brizgo, Iveta Ceple, Martins Gailis, Ivars Slokenbergs, and Sarmis Spilbergs will participate as lecturers, each presenting topics from their area of specialization.The first lecture will be held on January 24.
Founded in 1998 by Sweden, Latvia and the Soros Foundation, the Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSl) is a leading law school in the Baltic region. LAWIN Riga lawyers regularly lecture at the school and have been teaching a Masters-level M&A and competition law course at RGSL annually since 2008.
