LAWIN supports a popular summer play „Scapin's Deceits“by Molière in Tallinn
Tallinn is the European Capital of Culture for 2011 and this summer the cultural life is more active than ever.
One of LAWIN Tallinn office’s this year’s sponsorship initiatives include supporting the popular summer performance of Tallinn City Theatre - „Scapin's Deceits“ by Molière”.
Scapin, a servant of a wealthy master is a controversial character. Is he a selfish manipulator out to save his own skin or a clever man devoted to help two loving couples, whose fathers try to make them marry someone else against their will?
This Molière play inspired by commedia dell’arte offers plenty of situational and verbal humour and enjoys continuing interest of the public; tickets are sold out until the last show in August.
One of the reasons why LAWIN chose this project, is the talented team that includes members from all the three Baltic states where our law firm has offices. Director Elmo Nüganen is from Estonia, the set designer Ivars Noviks from Latvia and the costume designer Rosita Raud from Lithuania. Elmo Nüganen has received praising reviews from the critics for his ability to master the challenging cast of this play, his own students from the graduating class of the Drama School of Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
