Pirkko-Liis Harkmaa appointed Associate Partner of LAWIN

On January 1, 2011 Ms. Pirkko-Liis Harkmaa, Head of the Employment & Labor Law Team in the Corporate and M & A Practice Group and one of the leading lawyers in Industry & Regulatory Practice Group of the Tallinn office was appointed Associate Partner of LAWIN. Ms. Harkmaa joined LAWIN Tallinn office as lawyer in 1998. She has vast experience in advising and representing our clients in all aspects of employment & labor law, as well as in data protection & privacy, e-commerce and e-services, electronic communications related matters. Her other fields of expertise include environmental law and general business and corporate law.

Pirkko-Liis Harkmaa holds a LL.B. degree from the University of Tartu, Estonia (Faculty of Law, 1997) and a L.L.M. degree from the University of Georgia, U.S.A. (Faculty of Law, 1998). She was admitted as the member of the Estonian Bar Association in 1998 and as of April 2008 acts as a member of the Ethics and Methodology Committee of the Estonian Bar Association. In May 2008 Ms. Pirkko-Liis Harkmaa was elected as a Board Member of the European Employment Lawyers Association. Ms. Harkmaa also gives employment law lectures to students at the University of Tartu and often participates as a speaker in various employment law related seminars and open discussions.
