LAWIN Managing partner Rolandas Valiūnas appointed as head of a new Working Group for Higher Education Network Optimization

According to the higher education network optimization programme of the Fifteenth Government of the Republic of Lithuania, seeking to strengthen the international competitiveness of the Lithuanian science and studies, the working group was formed by the 31 May 2011 decree of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania to examine the issues of the Lithuanian network of State universities and to draft proposals.

Rolandas Valiūnas, Managing Partner of LAWIN, was appointed head of the newly composed working group.

The aim of the working group is to assess the concentration of State universities and their branches in Vilnius and Kaunas, their specializations and scope of the fields of studies, the existing research and study infrastructure base and objective potential for its development, and to submit proposals to the Prime Minister by 30 September 2011.
